Art Exhibition January 2026

This year, an exhibition will be presented featuring three artists, their works, and their distinct pictorial and sculptural journeys, yet united in the works of Make Over Art. Stefano, Giovanni, and Emilio Gianni, three brothers, will exhibit their latest works entitled TRIALOGO. Emilio will present oil paintings on the theme of water. Stefano will exhibit his latest oil paintings of Milanese views, influenced by the Milanese painter Angelo Inganni. Giovanni will present his latest creations, meticulously sculpting Swiss pine, reproducing and enhancing views of Vimercate.

During the same weekend, a light installation, SOGNO NEL TEMPO, will be created, reproducing the 17th-century paintings, restored in 1856 by Milanese painter Gaetano Barabini, on the eastern façade of the San Rocco bridge in Vimercate. The bridge has Roman origins, dating back to the 3rd century AD, and was enlarged and fortified in two phases during the Middle Ages. The original paintings depict the end of the plague in 1630, a theme also mentioned by Alessandro Manzoni, with the resulting thanksgiving and portrait of the Madonna and Child. The triptych is completed by Saint Stephen, after whom the Parish Church of Vimercate is named, Saint Rocco, protector of animals, and Saint Christopher, protector of wayfarers. The inauguration is scheduled for Friday, January 16, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The video projection will be visible until April 16, 2026, from 6:00 PM to midnight.
