Interior design project, private house. Bormio
The clients' home was selected from among several under construction, opting for a favorable landscape area and single-storey layout. The concrete possibility of being able to design it from the outset in reinforced concrete, as often happens in the studio, was the stimulus for this project. Modernist cut favoring the open space and cutting out the various spaces dedicated to the sleeping area between the double bedroom, mezzanine, and wardrobe compartments used in the attic areas. Being the first project in Valtellina, we have respected the choice of native internal finishing materials, such as the Val Malenco stone used in the slab for the internal access staircase to the house and split for the bathrooms with the insert of birch wood blocks used instead for the rendering surface. Many furnishing works have been designed and built by a valid local carpentry workshop. The glass mosaic coverings, by Bisazza, provided for the two bathrooms, did the rest. Modernist and minimal furniture with light colors, white and steel, soft fabrics for the seat covers. The designs are all uniquely handmade.
